What is nanoblock?

The original micro-sized building block.

Designed in Japan. A quarter the size of a standard block. Built by you — and made to be displayed.

The idea

Micro blocks, serious detail.

nanoblock is the world's smallest building block, created by Kawada in Japan in 2008. The smaller the block, the finer the detail: the tiniest piece is just 4 × 4 × 5 mm, so a model captures the curve of a bonsai branch or the roofline of a castle — at a size that fits in your palm.

Over 300 designs — animals, landmarks, instruments, vehicles, Pokémon and more — across five difficulty levels. A relaxing, screen-free build whether you're 12 or 80.

Why nanoblock

Not just smaller. Better.

How small?

A quarter the size of a standard block. Far more detail.

The smallest nanoblock is just 4 mm — about ¼ the size of a standard building block. Smaller blocks mean more of them in the same space, so every model has finer curves, sharper edges and detail that normal blocks simply can't reach.
